  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce Keeps brownies moist without adding sugar
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder Optional for added protein
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Select sugar-free for a healthier option

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and sea salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, applesauce, and protein powder (if using) until everything is nicely incorporated.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper and pour in your brownie batter. Spread it out evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serving
  1. Let the brownies cool completely before slicing and serving. Optionally, serve with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a drizzle of sugar-free chocolate syrup.

Notes

You can use cottage cheese if you're out of Greek yogurt. If you don't have a food processor, a bowl and whisk work perfectly. Music and a good drink can enhance the baking experience!
