  • 2 tablespoons sugar Brown sugar can add richness.
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast Do not use active dry yeast.
  • 1/4 cup milk (warm) Avoid last dregs of the carton.
  • 1 large egg (beaten) Can use half if you overbreak.
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted) Double the butter for more richness.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup pistachio cream Nutella's pistachio spread works well.
  • a pinch salt Essential for flavor.
  • to taste powdered sugar for drizzle Make it rain sugar!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warmed milk, the beaten egg, and melted butter into your dry mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Dust your surface with flour and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Place your kneaded dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled.
  5. Once risen, punch the dough down to deflate it slightly, then roll it out into a thin rectangle.
Filling and Shaping
  1. Spread the pistachio cream generously over the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle with cinnamon.
  2. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces.
  3. Place the rolls in a greased pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for about 20-25 minutes.
  2. Once baked, cool slightly, then drizzle with powdered sugar icing.
