  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Add more if you love garlic.
  • 1 piece bell pepper, chopped Red or green, based on availability.
  • ½ cup scallions, sliced Buy extras for sneaking into other dishes.
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust according to spice tolerance.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Use sea salt for a gourmet touch.
  • Optional: red pepper flakes Use as desired based on spice preference.

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, ginger, garlic, and add the soy sauce.
  4. Stir in the chopped bell pepper and scallions.
  5. Drizzle in the sriracha and taste it for spice level.
  6. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Ladle the firecracker chicken onto plates for serving.
