Pasta and Dairy
  • 300 g fettuccine (or any pasta you fancy) Fettuccine has a lovely texture that hugs the sauce.
  • 2 cups heavy cream Adds creamy goodness.
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese Use fresh for better flavor.
Meat and Vegetables
  • 500 g minced beef Choose a leaner cut for better quality.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use more if you like garlic.
  • 1 medium onion, diced Yellow onion is cost-effective.
  • 2 cups spinach leaves Provides color and nutrients.
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp salt Use sea salt for flavor.
  • to taste cracked black pepper Optional, adjust to personal preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add your fettuccine. Stir occasionally.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan and sauté the minced beef and onions until browned.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine with the beef and onions.
  5. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Add the spinach leaves and stir until wilted.
  7. Drain the pasta (reserving some pasta water) and toss it into the beef mixture.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
