  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Low-sodium is recommended for health.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Local honey from the farmer’s market is preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds a nutty flavor.
  • 1 bunch spring onions, chopped Used as a topping.
  • to taste optional sesame seeds For added crunch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine miso, garlic, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add diced chicken to the bowl and mix until coated. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Carefully add the marinated chicken to the pan, cooking in batches if necessary.
  3. After about 5 minutes, flip the chicken pieces and continue cooking until golden and cooked through.
  4. Stir in the spring onions and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, over steamed rice or directly from the pan.
