Preparation of Mashed Potatoes
- Boil cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes, return them to the pot, and add butter, salt, and a splash of cream.
- Mash until creamy, adjusting cream as needed.
Cooking the Shrimp
- Melt butter or oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip.
- Once shrimp are nearly cooked, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Making the Sauce
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream to the pan, stir, and let simmer on low for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Serving
- Spoon mashed potatoes onto plates, top with the shrimp and sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes
