Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats Quick oats will work as well.
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour Can be substituted with regular flour.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Recommended brand: Green & Black's.
  • 1/4 cup protein powder Chocolate-flavored variety enhances the chocolate taste.
  • a pinch salt Balances the sweetness.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Use for natural sweetness.
  • 1 cup almond or nut butter Peanut butter works well too.
Optional Add-ins
  • handful chocolate chips or chopped nuts Use walnuts or pecans for a variation.

Method
 

Preparation of Dry Ingredients
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the oats, coconut flour, cocoa powder, and protein powder.
Mixing Wet Ingredients
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the honey and almond butter until smooth.
Combining Mixtures
  1. Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
Chilling Time
  1. Cover the mixture with cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Forming Bites
  1. After chilling, take the mixture and roll it into small bite-sized balls.

Notes
